So I love Bethel's recruitment tactics. This past weekend the Hendrix Competition took place on campus. While the students were here during the day some pretty good food was provided. It was mostly the breakfast food, but the fact that it was good is what counts. What gets me is that for some reason there is this rule that we can't serve good food in the cafe unless important people are present. And when I say important people I mean those that have not yet been sucked into paying $15,000 a year for crappy food, leaky windows, and mud pit / parking lot. The school also likes for prospective students and their parents to think that we have a ton of school spirit. In reality on visit weekends the Admissions Office offers $50 to the most schooled spirited organization that shows up to the game that these prospective students will be attending. Little do they know that when they do come to Bethel very few people outside of the player's parents attend girls basketball games and the food that will be presented before them each day will make Apple Jacks taste like something straight out of Heaven.
