Why do people act like imbeciles?

So I was going through my daily blog visits and ran across a news story on Justin's page. This just really ticked me off that people act this way. Apparently we're only allowed to show love to those of the opposite sex. I must say a first grade boy giving a valentine to another first grade boy that says "you're cool" does not scream please be my homosexual lover. Besides that the whole story of Valentine's Day stems back to a guy named valentine that sent a red heart to his friend (another guy!) to tell him that God loves him and to give him strength after being imprisoned for being of the Christian faith.
