Status

Since I'm up at this somewhat untimely hour (considering I have two test tomorrow, one of them at 9:00 am) I decided that I would blog my status.

Date: 03-21-05
Time: 1:24 am
Mood: irritated yet solemn.
Living off of: 2 hrs. sleep in 48 hrs, a peanut butter sandwich and a capri sun.

The reason for my irritated yet solemn mood is because as I was getting into bed there was a loud thud at my door accompanied by the below, "RA! Open up!" I thought to myself, self who is smoking in the dorms tonight. This was my first thought because it seems to be a regular occurrence. Anywho, I got out of bed and answered the door only to be knocked out of the way by an RA charging across the room toward my window. She opened the shutters and threw up the sash (actually it was kind of just pulling the blinds open). After doing this she turns to me and says "I'm just making sure that your window is closed." I looked at her like she was crazy because who sleeps with their window open when it's 40 degrees outside. Realizing that she has confused me to no end she went on to explain that a girl who lives in my dorm was attacked and the guy is still loose. Thus, we are on lock down until 8:00 am tomorrow morning. The story is that this girl was getting into her car when a guy pushed her into the passenger's seat and told her to give him her money. She told him that she didn't have any money and he said "OK I'll rape you. By this time they had traveled down the street and turned. She made a move for the door to get away but he grabbed her. So she bit him on the arm and jumped out of the car as it was moving down the street. In the process she lost a shoe and took off running across campus this way until she found someone to call the cops. This attacker continued on with the car. About 20 min. later this girl's boyfriend found her car parked in front of the DFAB (the fine arts building on campus) . This is only a block from where she jumped out of the car. He is not yet in custody and authorities have proposed the idea that he may be a student.

Please keep my friend in your prayers and pray that this guy is caught and does no harm.
