Jesus Loves Me

So as I mentioned before, Winter Conference was awesome. I have to say that I experienced the most amazing New Year's Eve of my life.

It started with an evangelism training seminar. I've been to several of these but it's always good to have a refresher. That afternoon we broke up into groups of about 6 or 7 within our campus crusade region and went out into several Greensboro communities to hand out holiday care packages. My group of 7 split into two groups to go door to door. The first lady that we were able to talk to was very open to hearing what we had to say. We were able to help lead her to Christ that afternoon. It was so exciting to actually experience that.

When we had our main meeting that evening we had a chance to share stories about what we had encountered in groups. I was astonished at how many people we had reached that day. One student got up and shared a story that particularly stuck out to me. She told us about some kids that she had a chance to talk to. The kids were between the ages of 3 and 5. She had given them each a witnessing bracelet that we had been given and had told them how Jesus had loved them so much that he had died for them. The little girl named Gabby, started to cry because of what Jesus had done for her.

When I heard this story I realized that some times I didn't consider the fullness of what Jesus had done for me. I go about living my life as though it's nothing special. But this story about Gabby made me realize just how awesome what he did is.

Later that evening we had a huge praise and worship session and then we prayed in the new year. How did we celebrate but with more rockin' praise and worship and a Jesus train. This was definitely a New Year's Eve I will never forget.

By the way Hdizzle I'm dissappointed to have to tell you that the batteries in my camera were dead when I got Greensboro, but I'm going to try to find some pictures from other people.
