3:00 A.M.

So my newest pet peeve is 3:00 A.M. fire drills. We had one Monday. I understand that they want everyone to participate and they think that more people will be in the dorms at 3:00 A.M. than at 12:00 A.M., but they are sadly mistaken if they believe this. I am blessed to have been present at every fire drill this year, and I can tell you that the people that weren't in the dorms for 12:00 A.M. fire drills were still not present at the 3:00 A.M. fire drills.

So far this year I have been pulled out of bed 4 times and pulled out of the shower 2 times for the previously mentioned fire drills. The 12:00 A.M. fire drills aren't that bad, but being pulled out of the shower to stand outside in December was a bit chilly. And it might not be so bad if they knew how to shut the alarm off after they triggered it. Unfortunately this is not the case. One time last semester the alarm went on for 2 hours. After standing outside for 30 minutes I gave up and went to a friends apartment.

Apparently fires don't happen during the daylight because we only have drills late at night. I used to really hate the 12:00 A.M. fire drills, but honestly I hope they go back to those because ripping me out of bed at 3:00 A.M. is completely uncalled for.

I hope you all notice that I have raised everyone's llama totals in hope that your day will be better than the one I had Monday

actually levi, that's 6 this school year not this month. and as i said some of them were 12:00 A.M. drills. and as it seems prosser hall seems to be the only dorm that feels compelled to have so many fire drills.

http://www.johnreillyphotography.com/PHOTOGRAPHY/PHOTOGRAPHS/10-15-01/DhaliLama.jpg so it is a pic of the Dhali Lama, not an actual llama, but still deserving of points i think

Being married to a firefighter I do know that fires do in fact occur during daylight hours. Perhaps the faculty with all of their doctorates have not thought of this...

Thanks for blessing us with the llama points. With the day you had, you could've docked us all by 10 points. :)

Here is a sure fire cure for this non sense - go outside naked during the next one. Convince your friends to do the same. Wear only towels on your head.

nopoints for the dhali lama?

thanks for the effort hersch, but i'm afraid the dhali lama doesn't qualify.
