Excuse Me But I Think You Parked Your Tree On My Car

Herschel, let me tell you about the last couple of days. This has not been the best week. Wednesday started out OK. I did the usual go to class, get stuff ready for CCC, study for my humanities quiz...basically what I do every Wednesday. Just as I was preparing to go to humanities my friend Christy informs me that she was walking back from the softball game and saw a big tree limb fall on top of a car in the parking lot. She then informs me that it was mine. I didn't have time to check it out before humanities class, but after I found this.

Yes friends that is a huge dent in the roof of my car. Thank goodness it wasn't a few inches back to shatter my back windshield.

And this ladies and gentlemen in the culprit. Don't be fooled. The picture does not do it justice. This is a massive limb that apparently packed a lot of power.

So I was a little stressed out about this Wednesday. That evening, as if I wasn't stressed out enough, I get to CCC where I found out that we have no worship leader. So I freak out and call basically everyone I know on campus that can play guitar. They were all conspiring against me by not answering their phones so I found better worship leaders by the names on Chris Tomlin, Todd Agnew, and Tim Hughes.

Then, Thursday I got up early to meet Cathy and Jessica at the bank so that we could change some account information for the CCC bank account. When we arrive the lady at the desk tells us that they're too busy right now it'll be a 20 minute wait. Well, that fell through because we all had a class in 30 minutes. So we resolved to return at 1:15 and they have agreed that they will be ready and waiting for us. In the mean time I make a trip to the security office to report my vandalism by tree. So I have to fill out this ridiculously long report about the whole thing, after which I am informed that I signed something at check-in that says Bethel is not liable for my car in the parking lot. Needless to say this upsets me a little. But I take life as it comes and head back to the bank. This time we waited 35 minutes before anyone would help us.

Luckily I was able to relieve some of this tension by playing a little tennis this afternoon and attending the musical Quilters with some friends. Now if only I could sleep.

Oh man! What caused the tree to fall on your car? That really sucks!

the tree was partially dead and ice and wind were also factors.

Sorry you had a pooie week. At least the limb fell on your car and not directly on you though. I'm sure the school has some disclaimer about that too. :S
